Moor :: Heather
Made By:  Lisa J.
Techniques:  Machine Pieced, Domestic Machine Quilted
Design Basis:  Original Design
Artist Statement: Blooming heather in masses is one of the most intense experiences in a wetland or moor.  Growing up in Germany, visiting the Luneburger Heide, left me with a deep memory of that color.  Today, most of these landscapes are endangered, and will need much awareness and protection.

Design Basis:  Kit purchased from Quilters Roost; the designer was Jill Shaulis, and the pattern appeared in Spring/Summer 2011 issue of Quilt Sampler.
