"Finding Time to Have Fun" - A humorous look at how to become more efficient with time and space in order to become a more productive quiltmaker. A wide variety of practical methods will be expored including where to store fabrics, methods of threading a neeedle and techniques for washing fabrics. Nancy's philosophy is that there is no right or wrong way to make a quilt as long as you are having fun. Nancy will tell stories as she shares her practical tips and her quilts all completed during "found time."
Explore the possibilities of creating unique lace and garments by simply using variations of the buttonhole stitch. Students will create a reference notebook of variations of the stitch, mirror work, beading and doily inserts. Included in the two day class will be Dorset buttons and a range of joining techniques including faggoting. A lab fee of $25.00 includes basically all materials needed for the class.

Students in this workshop will complete a reference notebook of a wide range of surface techniques that transform a simply piece of fabric into a unique cloth.
Included are marbled tissue, foiling, stamping, discharge, fabric crayons, resists and more. A lab fee of $40.00 includes the majority of required materials.
